Bornholm – the Gem of the Baltic – combines all the landscapes found in Scandinavia in one location: wide sandy beaches, granite coastlines, cliffs and vast forests. The island has a fascinating history, beautiful craft art, the magnificent Hammershus Castle Ruins and many museums.
The activities on offer are endless. Cyclists now have an extra facility in the form of refreshment stations en route around the island, and the option of being conveyed back to their starting point by bus. And once you have eaten a smoked herring in one of the fishing hamlets, you will know the full meaning of a relaxed holiday.
The island’s 42,000 residents live on these almost 600 km². Bornholm – the Gem of the Baltic – is blessed with hot summers, also explaining why the island is named “The Isle of Sunshine” – a wonderful setting for an active holiday for the whole family. With your holiday home as your base, it is easy to travel around the island by bicycle. Take the ferry to Christiansø Island, for instance, to see its old fortifications. Our homes are attractively situated and offer many local activities.

Bornholm is especially known as a holiday island with miles of splendid sandy beaches and rugged nature areas with cliffs, waterfalls and a wide variety of fascinating phenomena: rocking boulders, Echo Valley and much more besides. Bornholm even has its very own architecture – from large ruins like Hammershus and the round churches, to the charming old quarters of towns like Gudhjem. The island also has its very own troll named “Krøllebølle”, which over the ages has become an iconic figure for the island.
